Loi Kail

Loi Kail started dancing at the age of five and hasn’t quit moving since. She moved to New York after earning a BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan, danced with several companies, choreographed and performed her own work, attended the Swedish Institute, and received her license as a massage therapist. She spent several years in Germany, where she continued to dance and choreograph and was assistant to the choreographer at the Komische Oper in Berlin. Upon returning to New York she worked as a massage therapist while studying Pilates. She began teaching Pilates soon after and still teaches group mat classes at Equinox. Loi has experience working with a wide variety of clients: pre- and post-natal, post-rehab, dancers, golfers, hip replacement and even people with nothing obviously wrong with them. She directed her own Pilates studio from 1999 until joining Living Proof in April 2007. She has continued to train her eye, mind, and body by attending workshops (Swedish Institute, Irene Dowd) and as a member of the Pilates Method Alliance.
